she still has so much to give to make the lives around her a little brighter, and then this darkness. may her soul rest in peace in the light of our prayers.
I don't know if this is just denial, but for some odd reason, to me Ana's passing doesn't seem so final. As if it doesn't really quite end, just like that. As if, more than ever, there's a need to celebrate how vibrantly she lived. As if she would have wanted it that way. I don't know.
myke: i am ana's high school friend. we have been out of touch for years but i am shocked at the news of her passing. she and i were close back then. please tell me how she died. our other high school friends are in a frenzy and would like to know. :( thanks. peaches
Even up to now, Ana remains a palpable presence. Last time we had beer at my despedida, everything was redolent of future tense. She was brimming with poetry, loveliness and a lust for personal flowering and fruition. As for Larry, we had a brief online chat about her death. But our words were groping for question marks and exclamation points.
Hi, Peaches. Sorry, but I'm just as dazed and lost in the dark as you are. I'm presently based in the States, and how I wished I were back in Cebu to connect the dots of her tragedy. She allegedly committed suicide, but they might as well tell me they serve sushi in Pluto.

...to everyone who's lost someone they love long before it's their time. you feel like the days you had were not enough when you said goodbye.
Hello Myke. I read your column today (July 10) on Ana's passing. We barely knew each other, but I could almost feel her pain.
Hi, Haide: So much beauty and joy and sorrow, Ana's life. May her death remind us to be fully alive always. Ayu-ayo!
i know i will see her around. in the little things that spark, that give joy and meaning. goodbye for now, ana.
Hello Uncle Myke--

PS How is Larry taking all this?
